- Strategic Legal & Compliance Advisory
Provide forward-looking strategic legal and compliance advice to support the Group’s major business decisions, international expansion and cross-border operations. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management by identifying, assessing and translating legal, regulatory and geopolitical risks into actionable recommendations that enable informed decision-making and sustainable growth and other factors affecting the Group’s global strategy. Contribute proactively to the shaping and implementation of the Group’s global legal and compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and evolving regulatory landscapes. Lead and support the development of the Group’s international compliance framework, with a particular focus on complex regulatory regimes in major jurisdictions such as the EU and the North America, including trade sanctions, export controls, competition law, and other emerging compliance requirements.
- Provide professional legal support and advice to all business departments. Manage standard contract templates, review and approve various project sales contracts, service contracts, procurement contracts, cross-border investment and financing agreements and other legal documents; participate in negotiations for major projects. Act as a proactive business partner to operational, commercial, finance and project development teams to structure transactions and proactively identify legal solutions that enable business objectives.
- Establish, review and implement the company’s rules, regulations and internal policies. Ensure the company’s governance and internal control systems comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. Manage legal and compliance risks at both regional and Group levels. Monitor compliance risks and ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Handle litigation, arbitration, mediation and other dispute resolution matters. Represent the company or engage external law firms when necessary and manage all legal cases throughout the process to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the company.
- Comply with the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements, identify and report potential HSE hazards, report incidents truthfully and in a timely manner, and participate in HSE activities organized by the company and departments.
- Coordinate internal and external legal resources. Liaise with Group legal management, affiliates legal teams, and external law firms. Support the coordination and management of the Group’s global legal resources.
- Develop and deliver legal training and compliance awareness programs tailored to business needs, with the objective of strengthening a culture of compliance across the organization. Design and implement targeted training initiatives on key legal and regulatory topics, and proactively promote awareness of legal risks, ethical standards and best practices among employees.
