HSE Officer Job Guideline:
Job Location: South Africa, Gauteng, Johannesburg, Sandton.
Coordinate the implimentation of Health, Safety & Environment system of the Goldwind. Monitor the company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensure adherence to the company’s occupational health, safety and environmental policies and commitments and advise corrective action where required. Conduct regular quality safety and environmental audits, maintenance and reporting of safety and environmental performance and maintaining a proper record-keeping system in line with OHS and Environmental requirements. Safety inductions for new employees and contractors and foster health and safety awareness on site.

- First Aid Level 3
- Understanding of OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001
- Understanding of applicable legislation

HSE OFFICER JOB Duties
- Prepare, develop, and review HSE documentation before establishing a project on site.
- Ensure compliance with the OHS Act, ISO health and safety standards, customer requirements, and all applicable legislation.
- Conduct internal employee training (Induction, HIRA, correct use of PPE, etc.).
- Assist in compiling risk assessments (Baseline, Issue, and Continuous).
- Revise Project Risk Assessments and Method Statements according to Goldwind protocols.
- Manage training records, competency matrices, and certification tracking.
- Gather HSE data from projects and O&M sites, and prepare agendas for monthly/weekly HSE meetings with the QHSE Manager.
- Maintain and control all HSE documentation, procedures, plans, checklists, forms, and registers.
- Ensure submission, review, and archiving of site HSE reports, inspections, and incident reports.
- Update HSE dashboards, KPIs, and statistics weekly, monthly, and after incidents/accidents.
- Support preparation for internal and external audits.
- Assist in compiling QHSE documents and conducting regular internal site audits.
- Gather and maintain lifting machinery information (e.g., crane details) and ensure LMI certification before project establishment.
- Maintain registers for PPE, inspections, and emergency preparedness documentation.
- Liaise with site HSE teams to ensure timely submission of reports.
