Lead Electrical Engineer

1.Exploit and manage electrical BOP partners for wind farms, including but not limited to design houses, electrical construction subcontractors, main electrical components suppliers etc.;

2.Manage project electrical proposal process, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation thereof, assist with bidding submission under EPC scope for wind farms in South Africa and other African countries;

3.Clarify and negotiate with client or contractor about the scope of work and specifications, identify changes and associated cost;

4.Develop and implement Engineering systems, tools, documents and procedures for the Goldwind Africa;

5.Manage design and documentation reviews in conjunction with external engineering resources for electrical balance of plant and self-build works to ensure compliance with project objectives and requirements;

6.Support the procurement of electrical plant, equipment and materials from scope development through tender manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning and documentation, including resolution of supply issues;

7.Support the Project Manager in managing the BOP contractor, and in overseeing construction and commissioning phase of the project including Grid Connection and Grid Compliance Testing;

8.Follow relevant IMS requirements, contribute to the effectiveness of IMS through participation, communication and consultation

9.Assist in the compilation of QHSE documents and conducting regular site internal audits at all levels

10.Undertake daily site inspections and liaison with the ECO to monitor, audit and verify that all works comply with environmental legislation and the EMPr compliance; and ascertain the level of such compliance and impact minimisation.;
