Quality Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Support region Quality Manager to carry out quality activities in regions and wind farms

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. With support of region Quality Manager, localize procedures, specifications etc.
2. Based on contract, according to customer and GWI requirements, South African quality regulations and standards, carry out wind farm specific quality risk analysis, draft specific wind farm quality assurance plan 
3. Developing and maintaining Quality Inspection Test Plans (ITP's) for Project
4. Organize, push and carry out quality inspections in different phase, draft quality inspection report
5. Draft NCR and register in FEMS or other app, collect and summarize site information, draft reports
6. Carry out RCA for NCRs, if possible, make one page report or 8D report if possible
7. Carry out or participate relevant quality communications such as region/wind farm quality meetings, campaigns and global quality meetings, etc,
8. Supporting the Quality Manager in monitoring compliance at Project level by conducting routing inspection to verify compliance to standards, Designs and requirements
9. Maintaining accurate and complete quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports and corrective action reports
10. Assisting the QHSE Manager with the ISO audit preparations
11. Providing guidance and oversight to QC personnel on projects

QUALIFICATION

• National Diploma / bachelor's in engineering discipline - Electrical Engineering preferred

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

• Five to Ten years (5 to 10 years)
