SCADA Engineer

Job description

Manage software versioning and upgrades in Goldwind wind turbine controllers to meet the specific technical and regulatory needs of Goldwind Australia’s wind farms. Coordinate China based design staff to design and configure market specific enhancements to Goldwind’s scada system. Oversee the installation and commissioning of Goldwind scada systems on Goldwind projects under the direction of the EPC Project Manager. Coordinate scada designs and interfaces with grid companies, contractors and suppliers. Maintain scada systems on Goldwind operating wind farms and offices under the direction of the Service Manager subject to conditions of Operation and Maintenance contracts. Provide technical support and assistance to external customers on the capabilities of Goldwind products under the direction of the Bid/Commercial Manager. Perform other tasks as nominated by the Technical Services Manager from time to time. To work to the requirements of the Goldwind A Workplace Heath, Safety and Environment Management Plan.

Position Responsibilities 

1. Implement Goldwind’s scada system to meet the specific needs of wind farms.
2. Manage software versioning and upgrades in Goldwind SCADA System to meet the specific technical and regulatory needs of Goldwind wind farms. 
3. Coordinate China based scada design staff in Goldwind to design and configure market specific enhancements to Goldwind’s scada system. 
4. Install and commission Goldwind scada systems on Goldwind  projects under the direction of the EPC Project Manager 
5. Coordinate scada designs and interfaces with Goldwind contractors and suppliers. 
6. Maintain scada systems on Goldwind operating wind farms and offices under the direction of the Service Manager subject to conditions of Operation and Maintenance contracts. 
7. Provide technical support and assistance to external customers on the capabilities of Goldwind products under the direction of the Bid/Commercial Manager. 
8. Comply with the HSE requirements of the company, find and report hazards in the process of work, reporting HSE incident in a timely and truthful manner, participate the activities organized by department and GWI HSE. 

Qualifications 

National Diploma in Engineering or equivalent  

Work Experience

3 - 5years related work experience and above
