The reason for this role:

 

The Civil Engineer will play a key role in supporting the Head of Construction Engineering with the delivery and review of civil works and interfaces across Goldwind Australia’s project portfolio. This includes collaborating with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients on the civil balance of plant (CBoP) works for wind farm projects.

 

You’ll be responsible for the design coordination, planning, execution, and quality control of all civil works associated with wind farm construction, including roads, hardstands, foundations, drainage, and supporting infrastructure. This position requires strong project engineering experience across large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects, with a focus on safe, timely, and high-quality delivery that meets technical and environmental standards.

 

This role will involve regular travel to project sites across regional and interstate locations.

 

 

What you will be doing?

 

  • Strengthen Goldwind Australia’s reputation as a leading wind turbine supplier, developer and constructor of high-quality wind farms.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure full compliance with technical, performance, quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Drive innovation and value engineering initiatives to deliver optimal design solutions within the defined scope of works.
  • Review, refine, and enhance project documentation and quality assurance systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and aligned with best practices.
  • Support the management of project CBoP (Civil Balance of Plant) design and review processes to ensure all technical interfaces are properly coordinated.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Sales team in the development and evaluation of new project opportunities.

 

 

What does your background look like?

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years+ of experience in civil construction, ideally within wind farm or renewable energy projects (highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding of civil design principles, Australian standards.
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, foundation design, drainage, and road construction.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and delivering works in remote environments.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and other civil design software, along with a strong understanding of HSE and quality management systems.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
