The reason for this role:
The Grid Connection Manager is responsible for managing workflow, communications and stakeholder engagement throughout the lifecycle of a grid connecting / connected power station. This cross-functional role will interact internally with Goldwind Australia’s sales, development and operation teams as well as Goldwind Wind and BESS R&D team.
This position may be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth.
What you will be doing?

Deliver successful agreements and milestones for Goldwind projects, specifically GPS, connection contracts, registration, energisation and upgrades.

Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure quality and timely completion of power system analysis deliverables.

Support the development of Goldwind products to facilitate faster, lower cost connections to the grid(s) in Australia.

Own and be accountable for the processes to be followed with relevant stakeholders and power system regularity bodies on the Goldwind projects.

Act as the point of process compliance, identifying and managing key grid risks across projects, and producing ongoing, accurate documentation of all decisions, controls, and associated consequences.

Manage interactions and processes with internal teams and external consultants to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes for Goldwind projects.

Be responsible for the successful registration and approval to connect Goldwind’s generators to the grid.
What does your background look like?

Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (bachelor’s degree as a minimum).

5 years’ experience within the power or energy industry.

Strong understanding of power systems and grid operations, with experience in renewable technologies and wind farm connections.

Ability to manage complex technical and commercial issues, including technical risk identification, supported with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Experience negotiating or securing agreement for multi-disciplinary commercial contracts.

Project Management certificate, white card or any additional business and power systems related training certificates would be highly regarded.
