Job description

The Civil Quality Engineer is accountable for the management of project Civil Balance of Plant (CBOP) works on Site, ensuring that works comply with specification and compiling all the project civil quality data packs for submission to be Client. 

Job scope

  1. Exploit and manage Civil BOP partners for wind farms, including but not limited to design houses, Civil construction subcontractors, etc.;
  2. Develop Project quality plan, Method Statement, Quality Procedures, Inspection & Test Plan, and Inspection checklist for Procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning according to Project Quality requirements
  3. Preparing weekly status report, Two weeks look ahead inspection program, Daily Inspection Report and Monthly Progress Report to submit to Client.
  4. Oversee day-to-day works of the CBOP contractor and track the progress
  5. Clarify and negotiate with client or contractor about the scope of work and specifications, identify changes and associated cost;
  6. Conduct inspections on foundation construction (Excavations, reinforcement and formwork) and interface with the OE ensuring works are being done according to specification
  7. Witness the casting of concrete foundation
  8. Conduct inspections on the roads, hardstand and stormwater and interface with the Owner's Engineer (OE) ensuring works are being done according to specification
  9. Raise NCR's related to civil works
  10. Providing civil engineering input and technical interface between the various work packages (finance, legal, technical, permitting  etc.) necessary to fully execute the Projects and liaising with the GW technical team for any technical related issues on sit

Necessary skills and knowledge

  1. Bachelor Degree Major/background and civil engineering Professional registration
  2. Strong capacity of communication and coordination
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods.
  4. Must be registered or in the process of registering as a Professional body
