The reason for this role:

The primary objective of this position is to provide support to the lawyers in the Goldwind Australia (GWA) Legal Team including drafting correspondence and advice, attending to matter management and filing requirements. This role will also be lodging/filing documents at regulatory bodies, running initial reviews of commercial and other legal agreements and coordinating internal approvals and execution of agreements whilst undertaking legal research.

 

Please note this role is a 1-year fixed term contract with potential to extend. 

 

What you will be doing?

  • Assist the Associate Counsel and generally the GWA Legal Team with research, drafting and other legal work.
  • Ensure compliance with GWAs regulatory requirements.
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with other business units.
  • Conducting administrative matters including but not limited to management of the procurement legal contract management system and external legal fee payment system.
  • Undertaking legal research as required by GWA Legal Team members. 

 

What does your background look like?

  • Tertiary qualification in Law.
  • Current practising certificate in Australia, or Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
  • 0 – 2 years’ paralegal experience in either a private practice or an in-house role would be highly desired. 
  • Mandarin speaking (preferred but not essential). 
  • Experience working in renewable energy industry and/or a Chinese organisation.
