The reason for this role:
As the sole payroll professional in the business, the Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for the end-to-end execution, governance, and continuous improvement of Goldwind Australia’s payroll function.
This role also includes managing both a monthly salaried payroll and a fortnightly EBA payroll, ensuring all payments and obligations are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable legislation, tax requirements, and internal controls.
What you will be doing?
The role will also be responsible for:
- Managing and processing end-to-end payroll for monthly salaried and fortnightly EBA-covered employees.
- Maintaining and governing payroll system configuration, employee records and time/attendance integration using ADP Payforce and ADP RealTime.
- Interpretating complex employment arrangements (including enterprise agreements and modern awards).
- Delivering responsive and customer-focused service to employees and managers on payroll-related queries and building strong relationships across People & Culture, Finance, and operational teams to ensure a seamless payroll delivery.
- Preparing and submitting all required internal and external payroll-related reporting, including Single Touch Payroll (STP), PAYG, superannuation lodgements, FBT, income statements, and audit-ready documentation.
- Proactively reviewing and improving payroll processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.
What does your background look like?
- 5 (+) years of end-to-end payroll experience in a standalone or senior payroll position would be highly regarded.
- Previous experience in managing both monthly salaried and EBA-based fortnightly payrolls.
- Strong working knowledge of ADP Payforce and ADP RealTime.
- Excellent understanding of payroll legislation, Fair Work Act, tax law, superannuation, and accounting principles.
- A high level of autonomy, service, orientation, and problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree would be highly regarded.
